Established in 1990, Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols Limited (RSGBL) was founded with the vision of addressing India’s growing demand for starch and its value-added derivatives through scale, innovation, and reliability. Over time, the company has emerged as a market leader in India’s starch industry, building a strong global footprint and earning the trust of customers across food, pharmaceutical, paper, textile, and industrial applications.

Riddhi Siddhi – Down the Years
The history of RSGBL promoted by the Chowdhary family is one of adventure and innovation, of risks taken, and bold decisions made. The seeds of this successful corporate conglomerate were sown in 1990 in the name of Riddhi Siddhi Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. What followed was an unmatched series of innovations, achievements, and accolades. The major milestones in the history of RSGBL convey the rest of the story.
Commenced manufacturing operations of Corn Wet Milling Plant at Viramgam, Ahmedabad.
Liquid Glucose Plant at Viramgam, Ahmedabad.
Acquired K.G Gluco Biols Ltd., Gokak (set up by Glaxo & KSIIDC).
Addition of Starch Drying facility at Gokak.
Stabilisation and balancing of operations at Gokak.
Increase in capacity of Maltodextrin at Gokak.
Addition of High Dextrose Syrup and increase in capacity of Dextrose Monohydrate and Liquid Glucose.
Implementation of 6 MW Captive Co-generation power plant.
Expanded crushing capacity of Gokak, making it India’s largest corn wet milling plant.
Addition of High Maltose Corn Syrup plant at Viramgam, Ahmedabad.
Capacity enhancement of Liquid Glucose plant at Gokak.
Acquisition of Biopolymer Division from Hindustan Lever Ltd. at Pondicherry. Further expanded the crushing capacity of Gokak Plant from 500 TPD to 750 TPD. Roped in Roquette Frères of France as the strategic business partner and investor along with Star Export House accreditation.
Commissioning of Pantnagar Plant, Uttarakhand.
Expansion of the Viramgam plant and setting up a biopolymer plant in Gokak.
Expansion of Pantnagar Plant. Demerged the Corn Wet milling business and transferred it to a new company.
Diversification into renewable energy business with main focus on setting up windmills with a capacity of 33.15 MW located in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Completion of the demerger process.

RSGBL is promoted by the Ahmedabad-based (Gujarat, India) Chowdhary family, having decades of experience in marketing starches and starch products in India.

- Mr Ganpatraj Chowdhary – Chairman & Managing Director. Mr Chowdhary is the founder of the Riddhi Siddhi Group and has more than 35 years of experience in managing several verticals of business viz. Starch & Allied Chemicals, Newsprint, Writing & Printing Paper, Renewable Energy, Real Estate and Aviation.
- Mr Siddharth Chowdhary – Whole-time Director. A seasoned business leader with extensive experience in the starch manufacturing and agro-processing industry, he leads strategic initiatives to drive profitable, innovative, and sustainable growth.
- Mr Balveermal Singhvi – Director (Independent). Mr Singhvi is a retired bank employee with expertise in accounting, auditing, and banking-related matters.
- Mr Pratik Mahendra Shah – Director (Independent). Mr Shah has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and marketing management.
- Mrs Sangita Shinghi – Director (Independent). Mrs Shinghi has more than 25 years of experience managing several verticals of business including insurance, offset printing, fabrics, and finance.
- Mr M.K. Bhandari – Director (Independent). Mr Bhandari has over 45 years of experience in engineering.
